Weekly Photo – Goodspeed Opera House
For this week’s photo we’re going back in time just a bit to this past August. I had timed this visit to be near sunset, but what I didn’t plan for were all the people arriving for a performance. I had a few curious looks my way as I just sat there with a camera, but they were all inside once the sun set.
The only remaining challenge was timing the photos between cars passing by. This is a 5 exposure HDR, so I would shoot as many as I could between cars, trying to avoid catching car headlights on the building or shining into the lens. (The road is about 10 ft to the right.)
There must be something I like about East Haddam, as this is actually the 2nd time I’ve posted a photo of Goodpeed. When I did the first lap of the Pic A Week project, I posted a photo of it back in July 2010.
